WEATHER: The weather in Allahabad during the winter months varies from a minimum of 6°C in January to 17°C in March. In the month of January there can be dense fog, hence guests are advised to check the weather forecasts at the time of their travel to Allahabad. The maximum temperature varies from 23°C in January to 34°C in March.

GETTING TO SANGAM NIVAS: By Air: There is a daily flight from Delhi to Allahabad (AI 9604) and the airport is 45 – 60 minutes drive to Sangam Nivas
By Road: From Varanasi: 3 hours drive time. From Lucknow: 5 hours drive time
By Train: The closest rail-head is Allahabad junction. It is well connected to Delhi, Howrah and Mumbai. The drive time to Sangam Nivas is 30 minutes. On arrival, we advise our guests to proceed to the Civil Lines exit (Platform 11/12) at Allahabad Junction and continue on to Sangam Nivas.

Location

Positioned at the highest point of the Kumbh Mela, Sangam Nivas o ers the perfect vantage point for guests to observe and soak in the atmosphere of the Kumbh. The camp is directly in line with the Sangam, the main bathing area and overlooks the Akharas of the sadhus, religious communities and seers. An exclusive viewing terrace adds to the experience, by o ering the guests a chance to marvel at the ocean of enthusiastic devotees, without leaving the comforts of the camp. Telescopes and binoculars will be available for guests to get a panoramic view of the Kumbh Mela.

Our highly efficient and trained team are there to ensure that guests have a hassle-free and safe stay at Sangam Nivas. Every experience and excursion has been thought-through to help our guests connect with the spiritual and holistic aspects of the Kumbh Mela. Our security personnel will ensure the highest standards of safety and security for guests at all times.

ACCOMMODATION

At Sangam Nivas, we have two categories of tents for our guests to choose from, Luxury tents and Super Luxury Deluxe tents. These specially appointed spacious tents are equipped with modern amenities and ornate bespoke furnishings. The tents are representative of the elegance that the TUTC brand embodies. Accommodation at Sangam Nivas comprises of 44 tents in two categories: 17 Luxury and 27 Super Luxury. All tents are equipped with all modern conveniences including heating, running hot and cold water and western toilets. Luxury amenities are provided in each tent to enrich the guest's stay.

DINING

Guests will be treated to simple yet unique culinary experience during their stay at Sangam Nivas. The dining tent will feature a live kitchen where vegetarian including ‘satvik’ food will be freshly prepared with a variety of options to choose from.

The menus on o er will give a delectable and distinctive taste of ne Indian cuisine. Freshly baked breads, pies and cookies will be prepared in bakery for our guests to relish.

In case of any special dietary requirements or allergies, kindly let us know at the time of booking, so that we can make adequate arrangements prior to your arrival.

Note: As the Kumbh Mela is a spiritual gathering, consumption of non-vegetarian food and alcohol is strictly prohibited and will not be allowed on the premises of Sangam Nivas.

► What's your cancellation policy?

► Can The Ultimate Travelling Camp Pvt. Ltd. arrange my visa?

No, you are required to make your own visa arrangements.


► Do I need inoculations before coming to India?

No vaccinations are necessary to travel to India however, foreign tourists should be in possession of a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, conforming to international health regulations, if they are originating or travelling through Yellow Fever endemic countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the following vaccinations (as well as being up to date with measles, mumps and rubella vaccinations): Adult diphtheria and tetanus, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and varicella. It is advisable to check with your doctor before travelling.


► What travel documents do we need to bring to the Camp?

Valid Passport with a valid Indian visa and travel insurance for foreigners. Indian travellers must have at least one of their Indian Government issued ID.


► Do we need to carry mosquito/insect repellent?

Since these are skin sensitive we recommend you carry your own, however, insect repellents are provided at the Camp.

First Aid facilities and assistance of a paramedic will be available at the Camp. In case of medical emergencies, you will be assisted to the nearest medical facility from the list of hospitals available at the Camp.

► Do you have a laundry service?

Yes, we do provide in house laundry service at a supplement charge.


► Are there facilities for foreign exchange available?

You can arrive at the camp via the following:

By Air:
There is a daily flight from Delhi to Allahabad (AI 9604) and the airport is 45 - 60 minutes drive to Sangam Nivas

By Road:
From Varanasi - approximately 3 hours driving time to Sangam Nivas
From Lucknow - approximately 6 hours driving time to Sangam Nivas

By Train:
The closest rail-head is Allahabad junction. It is well connected to Delhi, Howrah and Mumbai. The drive time to Sangam Nivas is 30 minutes.

Note: The above driving times are approximate and based upon travel by a car. If the journey is by coaches, then the driving time will be extended by an hour approximately, subject to road and traffic conditions. However, given the crowds and diversions, the final timings will depend on the current applicable situations.


► Where is the Camp situated?

Sangam Nivas is located at Samudra Koop, Ulta Qila, Kumbh Mela, Sector 11, Allahabad.


► What is the minimum number of nights one can stay Sangam Nivas?

Our standard package is for minimum three nights. There is an option of staying for four nights as well.


► How many tents are available? What categories are the tents? What is the capacity of each tent?

We have 46 tents split across two categories: Luxury tents and Super Luxury tents. All tents are equipped with all modern conveniences and are on a double occupancy basis.


► Do you provide any kind of insurance facility for guests?

Personal travel insurance - We strongly recommend that you have adequate travel insurance cover from your country of domicile for injury, illness, death, accident, adventure tours and activities, loss of effects or luggage and holiday cancellation. Kindly refer to the cancellation policy stated in our Booking Terms and Conditions.

Insurance for the Sangam Nivas, Allahabad - The camp is comprehensively insured for fire, earthquake, theft and terrorism.

Refreshments will be provided on excursions and where applicable, packed lunch will also be organized.

No. The dining tent can accommodate all in-house guests at the same time.


► Is the tap water safe to drink?

No, we advise you to drink bottled water or from R.O. at all times.


► Do you consider special dietary requirements?

Yes, special dietary requirements can be provided if the same is mentioned at the time of booking the package. It would be helpful if you could also list allergies if any.


► What type of food will be served at Sangam Nivas?

Being a part of a spiritual event, food served at the camp will be vegetarian and alcohol is not permitted anywhere in the premises.

The Camp is manned by G4 Security personnel 24x7. In addition, the premises are secured with CCTV cameras.

► Are children permitted to the Kumbh Mela?

Children of all ages are welcome at the camp. However, adequate care and precaution is advised due to the cold weather during January and February.

For children under the age of 5 years (with bed), INR 3500 per night will be chargeable
For children between the ages of 6 and 11 years (without bed), INR 5000 per night will be chargeable
For children between the ages of 6 and 11 years (with bed), INR 8500 per night will be chargeable
For Children above 12 years (with bed), INR 12500 per night will be chargeable
