- By Smartstay Team, 16th of August 2014, Food and Drink, Views: 9738

Oh...what Goa does to me! What makes Goa so special other than the beautiful beaches, the people, the electrifying ambiance is...good old FOOOOD!

Goa literally has the world on its plate...and you will realize that when you take a ride around every nook and corner of the streets, the unbeaten roads and the depths of Goan villages. I have managed to pick a few and am presenting it to you for a quick look as to what one can expect in terms of treating the tummy in GOA!

Bora Bora:
Located on Morjim Beach and open 24 hours a day with all day good music, this beach side restaurant is owned by a Russian and offers electrifying Russian, Italian, Japanese and Thai menus that will leave you craving for more! Other than food, you also get to use free Wi-fi, sun beds on the beach, get kite-surfing classes, special kindergarten service in the morning with cartoon screening for the little brats, etc while you have a private time of your own.

Curlies: Say who hasn't heard of Curlies? This is one of the most popular and original beach shacks on Anjuna Beach which started small long back and has now become a prominent landmark over the years. The menu is extensive with Indian, Goan and international cuisine along with well stocked bar serving fine liquor, cocktails and international DJs for dancing the night away! It also provides accommodations, so be sure to check them out if you plan to stay back here.

La Plage: La Plage is an eatery set right on Ashwem beach which offers fine French cuisine prepared with superior elements and the menu includes favourites such as Seared Tuna with Wasabi Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Pete with Onion Jam, Beef Carpaccio, Chocolate Thali, specialty Fusion Bloody Mary and so on.

Thalassa: A perfect setting on a hill cliff in Vagator, Thalassa is a Greek food speciality which serves classic Greek appetizers, dips and salads, fine meat from the grill including lamb, beef and seafood and sensational desserts that will leave you spell bound!

Bomras: Inspired by Burmese flavours, this restaurant in Aguada Road, Candolim has a unique tongue delighting approach of its own which has rightly earned them 'The Best Burmese Restaurant in the World!' praises from guests.

Coffee Heaven:
A lovely European style cafe on the Anjuna main road is open right from breakfast until dinner. The open ambiance is pretty inviting which inspires you to try out the delicious European dishes, Fish BBQ on Fridays, the legendary Charcoal Broiled Burgers, German cakes and other amazing desserts along with great coffee, fresh juices, mocktails and alcohol. A Treat for food lovers!
